Ingredients:
1 package all-beef meatballs (from the freezer)
1 jar Bianco DiNapoli Organic Tomato Basil Sauce
1 jar Marconi Hot Giardiniera
4 Looks Bakehouse Ciabatta rolls
8 slices whole milk mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
Prepare the Meatballs:
Place the all-beef meatballs in a pot and set the heat to medium.
Add the Bianco DiNapoli Organic Tomato Basil Sauce.
Add a little water to the sauce to prevent it from thickening too much.
Stir occasionally and cook until the meatballs reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Prepare the Bread:
Halve your ciabatta rolls
Place the halved rolls on a foil-lined sheet pan.
Assemble the Subs:
Spoon the meatballs onto the ciabatta rolls. Split the meatballs in half with a spoon to cover more of the bread.
Spoon additional sauce over the meatballs.
Top each sandwich with 2 slices of whole milk mozzarella cheese.
Broil or Bake:
Place the assembled subs under the broiler. If you prefer, you can also bake them in the oven.
Broil until the cheese is melted and bubbly. If using the oven, bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 10 minutes or until the cheese melts and the bread is slightly toasted.
Finish and Serve:
Once the cheese is melted, remove the subs from the oven or broiler.
Add a few spoonfuls of Marconi Hot Giardiniera on top if desired.
Use parchment or thin foil to wrap the subs and let them sit for a few minutes.
Cut the subs in half to reveal the gooey, cheesy inside.
Enjoy:
Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious meatball subs, perfect for football Sundays!
